A LaRose by Any Other Name...
I have a fascination with names, at least since I moved to the Nashville metro area. (After all, I am still in awe of Takeela and Mullet!) I started keeping a list of really interesting names that I've encountered, a few of which I've shared here. I try not to post anything about their name that could be personally linked to a specific individual (as in last name or even a photograph if I have one of the child), but I met a girl today whose full name merits a mentioning:
Elmira LaRose Frindlefunk
Elmira, if you're reading this, I'm sorry. I couldn't resist sharing it with the world. Elmira is one thing, but Elmire LaRose Frindlefunk is something completely different. Plus, your initials spell 'elf' and I think that's kind of funny in itself.
Whew. This is one of those days where I'm happy to just be Anna.

Elmira pronounced it "FRINdel-funk." Poor lady!

That is so funny. That woman was really saddled with quite a name, and I hope she has the grace and humor to carry it off well.

Oh my....what a shame!!! Here's one for you: my parents grew up with a kid named "Schedule Roy". Last name Roy, first name Schedule. NO LIE!!! Mullet it bad too....kind of flashes us back to Joe Dirt! I guess good 'ol Schedule's parents weren't too swift and just didn't want to bother coming up with a name and opened the dictionary. Good Lord.
